Our Mission
To prepare students to succeed in a diverse, global society, by providing superior performance opportunities in a safe environment. We foster a life-long appreciation of music while cultivating a culture of artistry, excellence & community.
About the Bands
The Pleasant Valley Bands serve over 800 students, in grades 6-12, through unparalleled opportunities and experiences for its young musicians. We offer a variety of co-curricular course offerings in one of 6 elementary bands, 5 junior high bands, and 4 high school bands. Which combined, creates one of the state’s largest high school marching bands, with over 280 students. As a result, the award winning bands strive to maintain a leadership role locally, nationally and internationally.

For over 50 years, the Pleasant Valley School District Band Program strives to provide music education that will help to stimulate the imagination, stir the creative spirit, and bring happiness and a sense of well-being to students who make music a part of their lives. Last year, 740 students participated in the elementary, junior high and high school bands. The Pleasant Valley Band Parent Association is dedicated to supporting these young musicians by encouraging an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of the band program, and to provide crucial services and financial support.
